Switch from ManyChat in 10 minutes
You can move from ManyChat to AgentChat without a single reel going quiet. ManyChat keeps running until each automation is live in AgentChat, and nobody gets the same DM twice.
The fastest way: one prompt in Claude Code
Paste this into Claude Code. Claude installs the AgentChat plugin, tells you what it needs and walks you through every step.
Before you start: switch on Claude in Chrome and log in to ManyChat in that browser. Claude only reads ManyChat.
1. Connect AgentChat, keep ManyChat on
Connect Instagram and add AgentChat as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Codex with the URL https://agentchat.georgkinzel.de/mcp. Leave ManyChat as it is for now. Details: Docs.
2. Export from ManyChat
A browser agent reads your automations and your contacts in ManyChat and saves the contacts as a CSV. Nothing in ManyChat changes. No browser agent? Paste screenshots or a list, or ask “Suggest automations from my captions”.
3. Check the preview
All automations are created as drafts, which answer nothing yet. For each one you see the public reply, the DM with its button and link, and whether the link works. Then your contacts are imported, first as a dry run.
4. Go live
Say “go live” and all drafts switch on together. ManyChat still runs for a moment. If both reply to the same comment, AgentChat sees that your account already answered and skips it.
5. Remove ManyChat in Instagram
In the Instagram app: Settings → App and website permissions → Apps and websites → ManyChat → Remove. That stops every ManyChat automation at once, you do not pause them one by one. Your automations stay in ManyChat: if you ever want to go back, connect Instagram in ManyChat again.
6. Finish
Tell your agent “ManyChat is removed”. It switches on the follower check and the buttons, answers comments from the switch that nobody answered yet and loads your DM history.
Why the follower check waits until the end
Instagram lets only one tool own a conversation. While ManyChat is connected, it owns them, and AgentChat may send exactly one private reply per comment. That is why your automations start in a transition mode: the link goes out directly in that one reply. Follower check, buttons, email capture and reminders are saved and switch on when you finish the migration. If a message fails because another app (often ManyChat, sometimes an older Meta app) owns the conversation, the dashboard shows a warning.
Prompt for a browser agent
Copy this into Claude in Chrome or Codex (browser) while you are logged in to ManyChat. It only reads ManyChat and changes nothing there. No connector at hand? It stops after reading and gives you the JSON; add the connector (Docs) and let your assistant import it.
